An AWC Customer Relations Consultant I is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, including but not limited to providers, resellers, carriers, self insured employers, brokers, consultants, injured workers, vendors or the respective regulatory departments in all Anthem Workers Compensation (AWC) states. Responds to inquires from all parties relating to the AWC network as well as Medical Provider Networks.

Shift: 8am - 5pm PST (Monday-Friday)

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Operates a PC/image station to obtain and extract information, documents information, activities and changes in the database.

  • Ensures appropriate guidelines are applied.

  • Analyzes problems and provides solutions or direction to appropriate resource person.

  • Provides external and internal customers with requested information.

  • Responds to telephone inquiries and answers routine questions.

  • Uses computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting.

  • Refers more complex inquiries and intakes to more senior level consultants or manager.


  • Requires a high school diploma; 2 years of experience in a related field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Workers compensation knowledge preferred
