Health Educator

Location: Remote; Preferred locations: Denver, CO and Atlanta, GA.

Hours: M-F 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm EST

Every 4th Saturday 11:00 am - 7:30 pm EST

passion to influence others and advocate healthy living.The knowledge and information our health educators provide toour members positively impacts healthy life choices, provides a sense of well-being, helps prevent chronic and/or preventableconditions, and helps them to access the numerous resources available to them.

As we add Health Educator staff for our call center's Health and Wellness telephonic Coaching Programs, we look forindividuals who share in our beliefs. As a Health Educator within a call center environment, you'll be focused on:

  • Making enrollment calls to members who are eligible fortelephonic wellness programs.

  • Assessing health information for members with various coaching needsthat may include chronic conditions, lifestyle management, weight management,and smoking cessation.

  • Setting up goals and providing coaching as well as telephonic followup calls to members to continue to work on health goals.

  • Encourage members to get connected to resources that are availableto them through their insurance, which could include participation in additionalor different coaching programs.

Here are just a few ways in which your clinical knowledge and expertise may be utilized:

  • Utilize motivational interviewing skills to providehealth coaching for members with chronic conditions or other identified healthneeds.

  • Implementing and/or coordinating coaching care plansand discussing clinical health recommendations and preventative recommendations.

  • Assist with increasing participant's motivational levelby addressing barriers and assessingneeds.


  • BA/BS in appropriate field ofspecialization (health educator, public health, nutrition, exercise physiology,RT, SW, or other related field);

  • 2 years of medical health coachingrelated experience; or any combination of education and experience, which wouldprovide an equivalent background.

  • Medical Health coaching with adultpopulation is strongly preferred.

  • PC skills within a windows environmentare required.

  • Prior call center or telephonic healtheducation/clinical coaching experience a plus.

  • CHES certification an added plus.

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish aplus.
