Pharmacist Clinical Sr
The Pharmacist Clinical Sr is responsible for developing and implementing pharmacy programs.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provides clinical services, implementing clinical policy information into Prior Authorization algorithms for medical necessity review.
Quality assurance and oversite for Prior Authorization question sets to ensure the intent policies are met and information renders the correct initial decision.
Mentors and trains associates based on issues identified through quality assurance.
Participates in and presents in team meetings.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
4 years of experience as a pharmacist in a clinical setting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Requires a registered pharmacist;
Must possess an active unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh). PharmD preferred.
Unless expressly allowed by state or federal law, or regulation, must be located in a state or territory of the United States when conducting utilization review or an appeals consideration and cannot be located on a US military base, vessel or any embassy located in or outside of the US, unless they are command-sanctioned activities.
