Director I- Product Development

Location: This position is remote (estimated 30% travel) and will cover all CareMore markets CA, AZ, NV, VA, WA, TN, TX, CT, NC and IA.

Chronic and Complex Care Responsible for directing the development and implementation of new products and modifications of existing products. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees strategy and implementation of new products or product changes/enhancements (Special Needs Plans, Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial lines of business).

  • Reviews, analyzes and makes recommendations on actions for existing products.

  • Investigates market opportunities and effect on market for existing and new products.

  • Identifies system needs to support short and long term product strategy.

  • Implements of best practices within products and across other CareMore & Aspire and DB&I products in a standardized manner across markets.

  • Determines customer needs and preferences through research and analysis of industry technology, current processes and other methods.

  • Monitors product performance (clinical, financial and operational) performance of product across all markets, and the competitive environment by benefit design, market segment and sub region.

  • Responsible for product life cycle and quality assurance process

  • Ensures products meet competitive, regulatory (CMS, NCQA), and compliance needs.

  • Supports the development of short and long term strategic product promotions in support of market, sales and profitability objectives.

  • Establishes product development policies

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.


  • MBA preferred.

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
