Payment Innovation Operations Manager (Value-Based)

Preferred Locations: New York, NY; Wallingford, CT; Richmond, VA; Norfolk, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; Atlanta, GA; Indianapolis, IN; Mason, OH; Louisville, KY

Will consider other locations for the most qualified applicant. Position will primarily be a work-at-home/remote position with occasional time in an Anthem office; must reside within a reasonable commutable distance to an Anthem office

The Payment Innovation Operations Manager is responsible for supporting Payment Innovation value-based program operations, including contract support needs, process development and management, market support, training, requirement development and user testing. Supports one or more operational components for one or multiple value-based programs.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides support for business fundamental management of existing programs, enhancements to existing programs, and new program roll-out.

  • Performs operational vetting end to end to identify impacts for new programs as well as existing program changes.

  • Supports market contracting and resolves issues.

  • Develops and manages toward operational schedule for value-based program system activities.

  • Writes business requirements.

  • Works with other business partners to guide and support solution development, pilot and solution launch activities.

  • Develops and maintains process documentation.

  • May manage small-scale program implementation efforts.


Required Qualifications:

  • Requires BA/BS in business or related field; and 2 years health insurance industry experience; and 3 years program/project management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Experience working in an operations environment; knowledge of healthcare operations.

  • Experience working with technical teams to collaborate on scalable solutions to support business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management experience.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Agile Experience in Product Owner capacity.
