SCA Claims Processor I

Target locations include: Syracuse-NY, Indianapolis-IN, and Harrisburg-PA

The pay for this position is pre-determined and set by the government - it is non-negotiable.

Syracuse-NY - $15.00/hr.

Indianapolis-IN - $15.00/hr.

Harrisburg-PA - $15.00/hr.

The SCA Claims Processor I must successfully complete the required basic training, be able to perform basic job functions with help from co-workers, specialists, and managers on non-basic issues. Primary duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Learning the activities/tasks associated with his/her role.

  • Works under direct supervision.

  • Relies on others for instruction, guidance, and direction.

  • Work is reviewed for technical accuracy and soundness.

  • Codes and processes claim forms for payment ensuring all information is supplied before eligible payments are made.

Qualifications

This position supports Anthem’s federal contracting business, which is subject to the Covid-19 vaccination requirements set forth in Executive Order 14042 and its implementing guidance. Minimum requirements:

Requires HS diploma or equivalent; up to 1 year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred qualifications:

Good oral and written communication skills; previous experience using PC, database system, and related software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).
