Underwriting Sales Support Specialist (Stop Loss)
Location: Minneapolis, MN / Mendota Heights, MN / Eagan, MN
Position will mostly be remote/work-at-home; must reside near a local Anthem office in Minnesota
The Stop Loss Underwriting Specialist (Sales Support) is responsible for receiving the Request for Proposal (RFP), reviewing RFP for accurate data, loading account information into the Stop Loss Underwriting System and for the preparation of Underwriting manual.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Reviews Request for Proposal (RFP) and input account information, census data, benefit information into underwriting system.
Preparation of Underwriting Manuals.
Communicates RFP status and need for additional data with Broker/Consultant and Sales Executive.
Reviews and delivers computerized reports of statistical and demographic data.
Coordinates internal reporting.
Requires a BA/BS in a related field; 1 year of related underwriting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Broad knowledge of insurance, contracts, and basic data resource.
Data entry or Customer Service Experience a plus.
Experience using David Young System.
Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Well organized, detail-oriented individual with ability to work well under pressure in a team environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Takes initiative and is accountable.
