Referral Specialistsare responsible for providing support to facilitate the administrative components of clinical referrals for various AIM services. This job posting is for ourBack Office Clinical Team. As a member of this team, you will be required to perform specific duties to ensure departmental goals are met daily. Location:This is a 100% remote position; successful candidates must meet Elevance Health Work at Home requirements including hard-wired high-speed internet and a private secure workspace. Central Time Zone locations preferred. Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Outbound calls to Members and Providers to provide services and/or determination of case review. • Responding to inbound calls for Peer-to-Peer scheduling between the Medical Doctor’s offices and our AIM Physician Reviewers • Making outbound calls for connection of Peer-to-Peer appointments between the Medical Doctor’s offices and our AIM Physician Reviewers • Responding to inbound calls regarding Provider Portal technical issues • Handles emails and faxes pertaining to existing cases following established processes, meets quality and production standards. • Create and/or send written notification to Members and Providers • Acts as a liaison between hospital, health plans, physicians, patients, vendors and other referral sources. • Handles escalated referrals from Leadership as appropriate. • Contacts physician offices as needed to obtain demographic information or related data. • Documents communications and actions in system. Qualifications - External: Required: • HS diploma or GED • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume, interactive customer service or call center environment • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
