The Program Integrity division focuses on ensuring accurate financial claims processing, and reducing admin costs to bring the best value to the health care program. The Diversified Business Group (DBG) Advanced Analytics and Services team focuses on combining optimized processes with best in class technology to bring the most value to Program Integrity.

The Business Analyst II/ III is responsible for translating varied business needs into clear problem statements.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.

  • Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit.

  • Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.

  • Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues.

  • May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.

  • Serve as subject matter expert and therefore is a liaison between the business and the Scrum teams including but limited to:

  • Translating capabilities/features into vetted user stories with acceptance criteria within the backlog

  • Developing and executing test cases

Qualifications

Business Analyst II Requires a BS/BA degree, 3-5 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Business Analyst III Requires a BS/BA degree, 5-7 years of business analysis experience that includes knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations; or any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, and/or JIRA Align. • Healthcare industry experience a plus. • Experience on a Product Team and Agile Experience. • Strong communication, presentation and problem solving skills. • Strong organizational skills in order to stay on top of multiple competing business needs. • Ability to travel maybe required

Applicable to Colorado Applicants Only Annual Salary Range*: $57960 - $84,840 Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. * The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
