This role will be responsible for executing the long-term business plan initiatives for the City of New York (CoNY) Group Retiree Solutions business.
The Business Change Manager is responsible for working with management to identify and implement varied projects, programs, and plans that support the achievement of business unit and enterprise goals.
Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
Manages functional stakeholders in maintaining and updating CoNY GRS Business Plan.
Drives project oversight, governance, and execution of key milestones cross-functionally.
Provides cross-functional collaboration support and leadership engagement.
Identifies potential issues, project charge, and scope. Leads efforts to identify best practices.
Identifies impacted parties, business partners, and resources required.
Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs.
Designs methods for integrating function and process.
Conducts cost/benefit analyses.
Builds support for business change throughout the business unit.
Develops and provides reporting which tracks milestones and metrics.
- Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 5-8 years of process or project related experience that includes experience in successfully developing and managing projects with a fairly significant operating budget and knowledge of process redesign; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
PMP (or similar certificate) preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
Ability to work effectively with limited direction or oversight
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Ability to lead and operate collaboratively, execution focused, and results oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change
