Go ToMarket Director (National Accounts)

Preferredlocations : Office-base in one of the following Anthem offices: ME, NH, CT, NY, CO, NV, GA, IN, OH, KY, MO, VA WI, or CA

OtherLocations : Prefer office-based. Will consider candidates from other areas who are not able to work in an Anthem office at management’s discretion.

Responsible for defining, building, and operationalizing go to market plans to ensure readiness for products, network and digital features for Anthem National Account business segment. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Partnerswith leadership to leverage the go to market strategy.

  • Collaboratesand builds relationships with internal and/or external business partners (e.g.Sales/Account Management, Marketing, Operations Product, Network, Clinical,Member Experience) to evaluate opportunities and specifications, drivepriorities, create plans, and develop communication strategies.

  • Translatesthe strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects, priorities, andtimelines, and ensures alignment with strategic plans to turn strategy intoreality.

  • Influencesinternal partners to deliver timely, comprehensive, value added solutions forcustomers.

  • Servesas a subject matter expert providing guidance, and identifying and recommendingindustry leading best practices to advance the organization.

  • Evaluatesportfolio outcomes against the segment strategy to guide future activities.

  • Managesthe financials associated with portfolio projects; develops and manages theinventory of all portfolio projects.

  • Createsand presents extremely high quality presentations to executive levels.

  • Maymanage vendors and service providers.

Requires a BS/BA degree in a related field; 10 years of portfolio management, product development, and/or project/program management experience including 3 years of leadership experience with business knowledge in multiple disciplines within a Healthcare organization; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Strong financial acumen, demonstrated ability to analyze, define, refine, and implement business processes, and proven leadership experience with the ability to influence cross-functionally required. Master’s degree preferred.


  • Priorclient-facing experience or interest in client-facing role.

  • Goodunderstanding of end-to-end process of group benefit/digital health productsand its lifecycle.

  • Success in building go-to-market strategies and launchingproduct(s).

  • Strongnegotiation skills to drive collaborative resolution.

  • Effectivein managing complex issues and navigating matrixed organizations, withdemonstrated ability to execute.

  • Highlymotivated, accountable and self-directed; very organized, driving flexibility /adaptable to manage a wide range of responsibilities.

  • Excellentcommunication skills: ability to appropriately package and deliver messaging,as well as interpret and traffic feedback effectively.

  • Appropriatepoise and polish to interact with executive leadership.
