Location: Cerritos, CA. The qualified candidate must reside within 1-hour commute to co-located site.
Work Hours: Mon – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Business Analyst II responsible to proactively identify client operational issues, participate in a regular prioritization process, and lead root cause analysis to create scalable, lasting solutions to operational problems.
Requirements include but are not limited to more stringent and frequent background checks and/or government clearances, segregation of duties principles, role specific training, monitoring of daily job functions, and sensitive data handling instructions. Associates in these jobs must follow the specific policies, procedures, guidelines, etc. as stated by the Government Business Division in which they are employed. Translates basic business needs into application software requirements. Contributes to team discussions and development of solutions for client operational issues assigned to the team, always with the intention to leverage the range of expertise on each team in order to generate high quality, scalable and lasting solutions. Develop and implement effective processes to improve operational performance against client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Performance Guarantees (PGs). Develop strong client relationships built on trust and collaboration. Manage client expectations throughout the solutioning cycle via regular communication on designated topics or issues.
What does a typical day look like?
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Works with the Information Regional Pod leads to review and develop requirements on new implementation/projects. Ensure project specifications are appropriately documented/stored/maintained in appropriate folders through implementation and support life cycles, develop testing scenarios and conduct thorough testing for requested changes ensuring that existing functionality is unaffected. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for (end-user) testing, as needed.
Analyzes business requirements and develops design specifications that include business rules, logical flow charts, edit logic, etc.
Demonstrates a basic knowledge of job responsibilities and an awareness of software development, data exchanges and information technology systems in relationship to the overall business to include identifying and proactively reporting issues to both internal and external business partners.
Ensures that project timelines are continuously reviewed and project risks are appropriately reported to IT management and business teams
Ensures that project objectives are met reported to IT management and business teams
Continually evaluate, monitor and analyze operational performance against key performance indicators and established client performance guarantees.
Evaluates and addresses business and system implications including system data integrity. Consult with management when it is appropriate.
What You Contribute:
Requires a BS/BA degree,
3-5 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
For URAC accredited areas the following applies: Requires strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
Health Care industry knowledge preferred.
