Title: Actuarial Analyst II

Location: MA|IA|NY|VA|GA|WI| IN|OH|MO|CA; Hybrid- candidate does not need to reside in posted state but must be able to access Elevance Health Pulse Point location

The Actuarial Analyst II is responsible for completing projects and performing complex actuarial studies.

How you will make an impact:

• Support the month-end close process and ensure the accuracy of booked IBNR reserves.

• Prepare and coordinate month-end financial reporting.

• Provide support and analysis for internal and external audit requests, including the annual audit.

• Produce quarterly reporting, including statutory and GAAP information.

• Assist with actuarial opinion and actuarial memoranda work annual monthly reserving, reserve results reporting to state president and quarterly reporting.

• Calculates monthly claims liability reserves, develops merit rating factors and prepares Department of Insurance annual statement exhibits.

• Obtains, verifies, analyzes and models data including risk reporting and forecasting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams and a minimum of 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• SQL experience preferred

• SAS,VBA Macro experience preferred

• Medical claims experience preferred
