How you will make an impact: As a Claims Representative at Anthem, you will be responsible for keying, processing and/or adjusting health claims in accordance with claims policies and procedures. You will be expected to successfully complete the required basic training and perform basic job functions with help from co-workers, specialists and managers on non-basic issues. Claims Representatives must pass the appropriate pre-employment test battery.
Claims Representative I primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Learn the activities/tasks associated with their role.
Works under direct supervision.
Relies on others for instruction, guidance, and direction.
Codes and processes claims forms for payment ensuring all information is supplied before eligible payments are made.
Researches and analyzes claims issues.
Work will be reviewed for technical accuracy and soundness.
Requires HS diploma or equivalent; related experience, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Good oral and written communication skills
Previous experience using PC, database system, and related software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) strongly preferred.

Applicable to Colorado Applicants Only Hourly Pay Range*: For level I: $13.92/hr - $19.00/hr. Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. * The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
